This is a classic self-fulfilling prophecy, however, as our favorite goth girl believes so much that she is meant to be alone and ends up turning people away. Not coincidentally,

this series highlights antisocial behavior on Wednesday for her birthday, a day to be celebrated by friends and family.

Episode 6, "Quid Pro Woe", brings us closer to the end of Wednesday's game , while the monster reappears and we learn more about the creature's relationship with the Addams family.

More importantly, the episode forces Wednesday to reconsider how she manipulates her closest friends just to prove she doesn't need anyone but herself. This is obviously a lie, as the girl will realize as she burns all the bridges around her. and ends up truly alone for the first time since he joined Nevermore Academy.

A Birthday Wish Comes True

When Wednesday gets caught up in her monster investigation, she decides to give the note's writer a chance and drags Enid (Emma Myers) with her in the middle of the night to visit the crypt.

Unfortunately, the letter was fake and just an excuse for the Thing and Wednesday's Nevermore friends to throw him a surprise birthday party.

Instead of thanking his friends for their kindness, Wednesday lets everyone know how upset he is he is. Wednesday doesn't even cut his Grim Reaper-themed cake, turning his full attention to a suspicious Latin inscription he finds in the tomb: "It will rain fire when I rise." Someone burned the first half of this message on Nevermore's lawn at the end of Episode 5 of, and the crypt's inscription proves that the monster is somehow connected to Crackstone and the prophecy of Nevermore's destruction. Touching the inscription gives Wednesday a vision of Goody telling the girl that he is a lonely crow and that the next puzzle piece is in an old mansion with gated doors.

The next day, Wednesday visits Eugene (Moosa Mostafa), who is still in the hospital in a coma. The girl crosses the paths of Dr. Kinbott (Riki Lindhome), who points out how hard she tries to appear like she has no friends, but that's just a facade. Otherwise she would not spend her free time visiting Eugene in the hospital. The next person to face the way she pushes everyone away on Wednesday is Tyler (Hunter Doohan), who points out the girl has been ghosted since Rave 'N, though he's working hard to make a special cake for her to bake a birthday. .

Eventually, Wednesday visits Xavier (Percy Hynes White) so he can help her figure out where the mansion is in the vision, and by comparing her sketch to the artist's paintings, she realizes that Goody put her in the old house has sent the gates. . However, Wednesday also finds a painting of her playing the cello, and when Xavier confesses his romantic interest to her, Wednesday leaves without saying goodbye. It seems Wednesday will silence anyone who tries to show her affection, a habit that will cause her to lose some good friends and allies.
